About

The journey towards Zeeoma began nearly 19 years ago. As a student, Juliet Ezepue, one of the co-founders of Zeeoma, set out to create and sell handcrafted jewelry she made following a jewelry making class she took in Lagos. She sold all the jewelry at a breast cancer event in Philadelphia and so began the journey towards Zeeoma. Unfortunately, the journey never materialized as Juliet focused on her academic research journey.

But over the years, ideas about curating an African themed experience on fashion, art, beauty, lifestyle products remained closed to Juliet’s heart leading to the creation of her blog, Isiomastyle Report. For four years, the blog would nurse Juliet’s dreams of an African experience grounded in culture, heritage, craftsmanship. At the blog, she told stories about the latest African fashion at the time and lifestyle products worthy of celebrating. She also shared behind the scenes stories of all that is beautiful with fashion, art, beauty and lifestyle products in Africa. However, like the first jewelry product and the blog, Juliet would once again, keep the dream aside to focus on motherhood and academic journey.

Fast forward to 2025, and in partnership with a great team committed to telling stories about Africa, Zeeoma was born. At Zeeoma, heritage and craftsmanship are the manifesto. This time, Juliet and her co-founders are committed to shaping a story about Africa, born out of resilience and the simple desire to see something good. Zeeoma which means “to see good” is a testimony of a resilient dream nurtured by a dynamic team dedicated to curating an experience that uplifts and celebrates Africa. Ours is an unconventional experience born out of a desire to curate fashion, art, beauty and lifestyle products from Lagos to St. Louis.

Why Lagos? Not only is this the place where Juliet was born, but it is city where all her dreams for curating the vision of Zeeoma were nurtured. Why St. Louis? Juliet currently lives in St. Louis, and this place gave her the courage to nurse a dream she has held for so long. Both Lagos and St. Louis, are two unconventional places that allow dreams of anyone to come to fruition. Zeeoma serves as a bridge connecting not just these two places together, but nations and continents that share a common thread: the idea of seeing something good always.

Zeeoma stands as a reflection of heritage, craftsmanship, culture, and legacy defined by a community dedicated to crafting a story about Africa that is so worthy of being celebrated. We curate the latest fashion, art, books, beauty and lifestyle products with the goal to “See, Wear, Live” Africa. We follow our curiosity wherever it leads, then run it through our network of experts that have an eye for circular storytelling, connected curation, and lively conversations that spark change. The goal, to share what we find with thoughtful clarity and unflinching honesty. What began as a personal journey has grown into a cultural force, serving as a gateway to explore the best in fashion and design from Africa with zero shame. We love every single piece we curate and invite you to join this movement, to help shape the story of African fashion and design that is transformative and will nurture you inside and out.
